COACH HANDAL’S FAMILY PAGE
This is Coach Handal’s 7th year at Tomball HS and his 2nd year as Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator. Coach Handal has coached for 23 years including stops at Galena Park (Head Coach 2013-2017) and Richardson Berkner (Defensive Coordinator 2001-2012).Coach Handal is married to Jill and they have two sons Kasen and Keegan. Coach Handal received a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters Degree from University of North Texas. Coach Handal's passion is of course all things related to Tomball HS, but also all Texas A&M Athletics, Dallas Mavericks Basketball, Texas Rangers Baseball, and Dallas Stars Hockey.
Kasen (22) is currently earning his Masters at Waldorf University (NAIA/Iowa), where he plays Football. He graduated from Tomball HS in 2019, where he played Football and Baseball. Kasen wants to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and be a Coach.
Keegan (19) is currently a Sophomore at Waldorf University (NAIA/Iowa), where he plays Football. He graduated from Tomball HS in 2022, where he played Football and Baseball. Keegan wants to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and be a Coach.
Coach Handal led the Cougars to the 3rd Round of the playoffs during his first year as Head Coach. The Cougars also were named 6A Academic Excellence State Champions under Coach Handal’s leadership. Coach Handal was named Greater Houston Area Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021, for the Cougars run to the State Semi-Finals.
